COURTNEY WIGGINS

Creative video artist who graduated in Fine Art at the Arts University Bournemouth. During my education I enhanced my experience working in teams for projects, building a professional portfolio, working with modern and industry standard technologies such as editing software's and camera, video and lighting equipment. I explored various forms of videography including experimental and narrative filmmaking. I am is well-versed in the technical aspects of video production, including camera operation, lighting, and postproduction editing. I currently work supporting students at Goldsmiths, University of London.

CAMPUS SUPPORT OFFICER

GOLDSMITHS, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON
Out of hours pastoral and wellbeing support to the students of Goldsmiths. My responsibilities include:

  • Act as a point of contact for students in need of pastoral care or emotional support.

  • Identify and respond sensitively to signs of distress or mental health concerns among students.

  • Provide a listening ear and direct students to appropriate wellbeing or mental health services when necessary.

  • Support students in crisis situations and collaborate with relevant departments or external services for additional assistance.

  • Promote awareness of mental health resources and wellbeing initiatives on campus.

  • Incident Response: Record and report incidents accurately, maintaining detailed logs and records.

  • Coordinate with emergency services when required.

  • Assist in investigations of thefts, property damage, or other incidents.

STUDENT SERVICES ADVISOR

THE ARTS UNIVERSITY BOURNEMOUTH 
My responsibilities included:

  • Refer and direct students to the correct staff.

  • Running daily reports, correctly archiving information and ensuring databases are maintained.

  • Produce and create spreadsheets.

  • Facilitating appointments/meetings with courses, departments and teams within the university and external stakeholders. 

  • Create and manage student community events, including using platforms to create and promote events.

  • Manage multiple social media accounts.

  • Assess funding applications and manage budgets.

  • Manage accommodation sites and liaise with halls teams.

  • Leading in training and onboarding new starters within Student Advice.

I adhere to GDPR policies and data protection laws by completing relevant staff courses via AUB.

  • Mental Health First Aid awarded by MFHA England - 2022

My responsibilities include managing, leading and motivating a team by taking an active role in maintaining and correct staffing levels all to assist in achieving financial targets. Adhering to company policy, procedure and licensing laws.

  • Communication: Fostered open communication among team, enhancing morale and supporting staff.  

  • Compliance: Contributed to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the venue. 

  • Delegating team leaders, front of house and kitchen staff during shift and ensuring the wellbeing of staff.

  • Managing social media accounts and creating promotional posts to increase sales.
